When we talk about balayage we mostly think of a blonde blend. Here Anna has done a soft red variation on a shoulder length hair. She applied pre lightener with a freehand technique, leaving out the roots and also did some highlights in a softer red and copper red. After she applied Manic panics Electric Lava. To finish she used the GHD irons to give it a soft tousled finish enhancing the tones!
Over the winter season hair tend to always go a bit darker and flatter in colour. When Leylas client came in she wanted to refresh and upgrade her blonde. She applied highlights but not all the way to the root to keep it looking a little more natural but not as much as a balayage. This way it will grow out softer and a minimum upkeep is required, and when the sun is coming out it will keep on going a little lighter!
When Annas client came in she had long curly hair but was keen for a change. We decided to go above the shoulders with a slight drop to the front. Doing a soft graduation going into a layering she created as much volume and curls as possible. To finish she used Redken Ringlet to finger twist the curls and then use a diffuser to dry. We love curly hair......so if you got it flaunt it!
Leyla used 3 different shades to achieve this look. 60 Strands Pearl & Oak, 40 Strands Ice Toffee and 20 Strands of Ice blonde. She always feel new hair is sometimes too soft and with a few washes the hair will expand and the different colours sit much softer. Its such a beautiful natural blend and easy to look after and style yourself!
Spring/summer is knocking on our door and when our client who has just moved over from Downunder came in the only colour we want is super beachy multiblonde tones! Anna used a highlift natural blonde and prelighteners with Olaplex to lift it, after she used a L'Oreal Dialight toner 10.13 to keep it sunny blonde. The cut was a soft pointcut layered finish to remove weight throughout. To finish it off she used GHD iron to tong the hair and give it a tousled beachy effect. You can take the girl out of Oz but cant take the Oz hair out of the girl!
We get a lot of questions regarding colouring process and highlift tints v pre lighteners. On a lighter base hair you can sometimes achieve a soft blonde without using pre lighteners, but in most cases we would recommend using pre lighteners and then applying a toner after the achieved lift has been reached. When using toners you can also decide on what tone you would like to have. It can be any tone from golden blonde, beige to icy silver white.....the choice is yours!
A bob comes in many shapes and forms. An asymmetric bob can be worn in may ways and looks interesting from different angles. After cutting the outline a soft graduation was cut in. after the hair was blowdried Anna textured the graduation further using a point cut technique. This will give the graduation a soften finish and the hair will feel lighter and more movable.
We get a few questions regarding Easilocks hair extensions and how its applied etc. Here Leyla shows while applying them how they are attached with the locks and how naturally it blends. Leyla used 120 strand of Dark Brown hair to bulk out and lengthen her clients natural hair. Application is key!
Our client is always open for new colour changes and what wouldn't a hairdresser love more then to have artistic freedom and play with colours? Anna started by pre lighten her clients roots using Wella Blondor and Olaplex. She then sectioned off triangular panels on the sides and weaved chunky pieces through the fringe, colouring them a yellowish gold tone using Manic Panic. On the rest of the roots and hair a coppery rosegold was used by L'Oreal. The cut was given an angled fringed with choppy layers to add texture, and a tousled finish was created by using GHD irons.
